Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known collectively as PFAS, continue to draw attention for their potentially harmful effects. The Senate in New Hampshire voted for stricter standards, limiting one chemical to a max of 12 parts per trillion and another to 15 parts per trillion. These standards are much stricter than the EPA's recommendation at max of 70 parts per trillion.
