Dome
The dome separates the windbox from the fluid bed such that the tuyeres can fit into place within the dome but not allow sand particles into the windbox. Industrial Furnace uses bricks that have been engineered and created for the job in order to provide for any size of furnace so that they fit with little refractory addition and withstand corrosion better. Our domes are capable of achieving a high rate of thermal transfer for the most complete incineration of the material. We also have replacement parts and make the repairs to existing domes.
Free Board
The freeboard contains the incineration of the injection material and fluidized sand. The freeboard is made with an 18” thick lining, comprised of an insulating firebrick with a fiber board backup insulation. By nature of design, the refractory of a fluid bed incinerator fluid bed is subject to a highly abrasive environment. Industrial Furnace’s installation and maintenance of the walls used on the freeboard provides the very best in survivability in those conditions. We also provide services to repair or update the freeboard to accommodate new sensors or instrumentation.
Quench
A Quench is a water line with spray nozzle that goes into the incinerator from a port on the roof. This allows the incinerator to be brought back down from working temperatures safely and as cleanly as possible. Industrial Furnace can engineer a quench system for any fluid bed incinerator, as well as replacement and corrections to existing quench systems.
Roof
The Roof Cap on a Fluid Bed Incinerator System covers the incinerator and has the removal port for the incinerated material. The port has to be in the correct place to ensure the loss of the fluid bed material is not lost too quickly but allowing for the incineration material to be removed. Industrial Furnace can create a system that properly removes the desired materials without excessive losses. We also provide repair services to ensure the dome cap stays fully functional and meeting any new regulations.
Tuyere
A Tuyere is a pipe with a nozzle that forces hot air into the fluid bed of the furnace, connecting the wind box to the fluid bed. Industrial furnace can supply the correct tuyere for any furnace, or we will engineer a new tuyere if none exists. We also sell replacement tuyeres and can perform the replacements.
Windbox
The wind box is where the burner fire is allowed to burn and be separated from the material in the incinerator, so that the life of the burner is not compromised. The windbox is constructed from a high-duty fireclay brick. Industrial Furnace can create solutions for many burners, and size limitations that the windbox may need to accommodate. We provide the installation of the refractory and bricks that would create the ideal conditions for combustion to occur, and send the most heat into the incinerator.
