A news station in Burlington, VT recently reported a story titled, "Vt. wastewater plants sending landfill PFAS into waterways". The report talks about the increase in PFAS in Vermont's drinking water. In the article, DEC's Chuck Schwer says that the technology to treat PFAS "is very expensive and the science isn't really clear yet". However, Industrial Furnace Co, Inc. has been working with many plants to address this issue, and it doesn't have to be expensive. Many plants are using existing equipment, whether it be a Multiple Hearth Furnace or Fluidized Bed Incinerator. IFCO helps these plants use the assets at hand, and enhance this equipment to successfully remove PFAS.
