Project Description
$180 Million greenfield project to build a carbon activation facility. IFCO’s project consisted of (4) 25’-9” x 15 hearth furnaces for the activation of carbon. IFCO was selected to complete the design, engineering, supply, construction, and commissioning of the furnaces. IFCO engineering responsibilities included the MHF area layout, specification and supply of the equipment, process and instrumentation, as well as start-up. IFCO was also responsible for the construction of the furnace systems, as well as coordination with the other contractors on-site. As construction progressed, IFCO was asked to take over development of the SCADA system for the entire plant.
